Finally some really good spy photos surfaced of the 2015 Ford Mustang. I think these spy photos reveal exactly what the 2015 Mustang will look like. From what I can see, the front end of the 2015 Mustang looks pretty sweet. You can tell the headlights look more aggressive, the grille is a lot larger, and you get to see how the chin spoiler looks. I'm sure the final product will look a lot better than the ugly flat black paint job. Ford definitely needs to be more careful testing the new Ford on the race track.
Saleen Automotive released its brand new Saleen Heritage Collection trilogy at Laguna Seca Raceway. The series covers the most competitive time in SCCA Trans-Am racing history with this brand-new series of vehicles. The first custom car is a 2014 Ford Mustang GT Saleen honoring George Follmer. The custom Mustang is featured with George's original 1969 Boss 302 Mustang.
The muscle car features the same vintage racing scheme from the old-school days. To pay tribute to the 1969 Boss 302 that George drove in 1970, this Mustang will feature a naturally aspirated 470+ horsepower package, 4-valve V-8 paired with a track-tuned suspension and a 6-speed manual transmission. Two other muscle cars that will be unveiled in the new trilogy lineup include a Mark Donahue Camaro and Swede Savage SS Edition Barracuda.
Some car news recently released from Ford, they claim they are dropping 450 pounds from the 2015 Ford Mustang. Right now the Ford Mustang is the lightest of the bunch. Currently the Mustang weighs 3,600 pounds, that's 260 pounds less than a Chevrolet Camaro SS and 450 pounds less than a Dodge Challenger R/T. The Mustang is already running 12.7 seconds in the quarter-mile, imagine what the Mustang is going to run in the quarter mile after Ford drops 450 pounds from the vehicle.
An Edmunds inside source claims there's nothing terribly exotic coming to the 2015 Mustang, meaning carbon fiber. But other materials, such as stronger aluminum, maybe forged, could be used. Overall the new 2015 Mustang will be smaller. It's going to be 15-inches shorter than the 188.5-inch Mustang on sale today, while it'll also be 6.5 inches narrower.
Many of these improvements are not going to come cheap, according to the Edmunds inside source, the new 2015 Ford Mustang could cost you 10 percent more.
Creations n’ Chrome has recently decided to put up their Boy Racer Mustang for sale. So what makes the Boy Racer Mustang so different than other Mustangs, well if you check out the photos you'll notice the flashy chrome paint job. Creations n’ Chrome has used a special chrome paint named Spectra Chrome. Truly the paint job is out of this world, it looks like a mirror when the sun hits it.
But the Creations n’ Chrome Boy Racer Mustang has much more to offer than this chrome paint job, this muscle car was built to be fast. The custom Mustang features a Vortech supercharger system and its V8 engine, that makes it blow through the standing mile at 182 mph. Other modern editions include a 3dCarbon body kit, HRE wheels, Wilwood disc brakes, and KW coilover suspension system.
Only drawback is, Creations n’ Chrome is kind of asking a hefty price, they're looking for offers in the $60,000 range. I highly doubt that they will get that!
In this video AutoGuide reviews both the 2013 Ford Mustang Boss 302 and 2013 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution MR, then pits them against one another. The Mustang Boss 302 comes out on top, but the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution MR was only seconds behind. AutoGuide is comparing apples and oranges here anyways, because the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution has all wheel drive while the Mustang Boss 302 is just rear wheel drive. It's not fair to compare sports cars on a road course with extremely different packages. But if you want to compare, the Mustang does look better and is overall faster. But it's really what you like, if you like tuner cars, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution MR might be for you.
Now how cool would it be to own a muscle car like this? In this video Ford talks about taking the Cobra Jet Mustang even further and twin turbocharging it. Ford is always trying to improve itself, using technology to make a more successful drag racer and people the Cobra Jet Mustang. For more information on the Cobra Jet Mustang make sure you watch the video.
Finally got some more photos of the wide body kit for the 2012 Shelby 1000. I have to say these photos really show off the sweetness of the flared out fenders. What makes the wide body kit so awesome is being a to add a wider set of rear wheels to your Mustang. And as you can see, the wider the wheels you have, you can have a really nice deep dish as well. Shelby American has really outdone themselves with this new wide body kit.
Anyone looking to see the full lineup of Ford Mustangs for 2014, check out Mustang Alley at the Woodward dream Cruise this month of August. The Mustang Alley will open up on Friday August 16 and continue on until Saturday. Everything from SVT and Shelby American Mustangs will be featured at Mustang Alley, you might even get some new information on the 2015 Ford Mustang. Other aftermarket companies will be at the Woodward Dream Cruise as well such as Roush and MRT.
Well it's about that time again, the Woodward Dream Cruise is here. Car owners from all over the world will come to Michigan to visit this cruise. At the Woodward Cruise you will see everything from modern Mustangs to classic Mustangs. You won't find a better car cruise or car show that has more Ford Mustangs than the Woodward Dream Cruise. I recently attended the 2013 Woodward Dream Cruise and captured some stunning pictures of Ford Mustangs. I got pictures of SVT Cobra Mustangs, Shelby Mustangs, Saleen Mustangs, and even Roush Mustangs.
All these cool custom Mustangs looked magnificent at the Woodward Dream Cruise. I would say I hadn't seen a Mustang that I didn't like, they all look good, sounded good as well. Officially the Woodward Dream Cruise doesn't start till August 17th on a Saturday, but it's still bumper-to-bumper just about every day of the week. We went on Thursday, August 15th. As you can see Woodward was crazy busy with beautiful cars.
If you look deep into the pictures you'll spot a 2000 Cobra R Mustang, a very rare Mustang where only 300 of these custom Mustangs were ever built. Ford's own Special Vehicle Team division built this Cobra R Mustang, at the time it was most powerful production Mustang ever built. Now if you know your Ford Mustang history, there has been much powerful Mustangs built since 2000, but hey that doesn't devalue the 2000 Cobra R Mustang at all. It's still a very popular and favorite Mustang!
An amazing custom 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback hit the auction block at the 2013 Barrett-Jackson this past year. It sold for a whopping $115,500! The custom Mustang was built by Hot Rod Joe’s Rod & Custom in Lafayette, Louisiana. The muscle car is crisply clean inside and out, you'll find even the undercarriage is blemish free. This is how done up custom Mustangs are being built at performance shops. This is what most Mustang enthusiasts want out of their muscle car, absolute perfection!
The 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback was actually featured in Modified Mustangs & Fords and Popular Hot Rodding magazines. It won numerous awards at SEMA and even the Mother’s Shine Award. What makes the custom Mustang so sweet to me is the supercharged 4.6-liter Cobra V8 and custom deep dish wheels. I mean if you look at those custom rims, they are out of this world.
Brand of supercharger is a roots Kenne Bell, one of the best superchargers on the market. So if you want race, this 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback has some muscle to it. The body has been clean cut shaved, everything such as the handles, B-pillar, hood, rear bumper fascia, have been smoothed out. You don't see awesome custom Mustangs like this every day on Barrett Jackson.
